As IDS/IPS has become the norm in most networks, evading these security tools becomes the norm as well. Some IPS evasion tools are created by vendors to test their products, or their competitors. Others are meant to allow a company to test their own network. And of course, some people truly want to evade the IPS systems, and create a way to do it.
