TigerScheme Associate Security Tester (AST)
The TIGER Scheme Associate Security Tester assessment is an entry level professional qualification in vulnerability testing and consists of a 3 day course followed by a 80 question multiple choice examination. Obtaining the Associate Security Tester certification presents candidates with a unique career progression toward the TigerScheme qualifications such as the QSTM which have been granted CESG CHECK equivalence.
The TIGER Scheme Associate Security Tester qualification is awarded by the TIGER Scheme Examining Body (The University of Glamorgan) to those who score 60% or greater in the two-hour multiple-choice exam taken at the end of the course. A distinction is awarded to candidates scoring 80% or more.
Through the Tiger Scheme Associate Security Tester course, delegates will be able to learn the important elements that are needed to conduct a penetration test to a high standard. They will be taught the importance of scoping, introduced to the variety of tools available and appraised of their applicability in a variety of different scenarios.
